Portola Limeproof Undercoat

Portola’s Limeproof Undercoat was created for use with Portola’s Lime Wash and is designed to help achieve a more consistent appearance and uniform absorption of Lime Wash.

The Limeproof Undercoat can be used over previously painted interior and exterior surfaces. This is an acrylic primer made with 100% acrylic resin and formulated exclusively for Portola Paints.

Coverage Per Coat

• 1 Quart (80-100 sq ft)
• 1 Gallon (300-400 sq ft)
• 5 gallon (1600-2000 sq ft

Preparation 

For New Drywall Application:

• Using two coats of an all purpose stain blocking drywall primer before applying either our Lime Proof Undercoat Primer or our Lime Wash finish.

For Previously Painted Walls:

• If your walls are already painted in a flat white finish you may apply our Lime Proof Undercoat Primer
• If your walls are painted with a finish that has a sheen, lightly sand the surface, clean the surface of residue then proceed with our Limeproof Undercoat.
